Larry, perhaps we could invite members of the Church of Reality ( www.churchofreality.org/ ) to weigh in? ;)

Actually, if you really want creationists who have a good scientific background, the Pastafarians are reasonable enough. They've even explained a direct correlation between the amount of pirates and global warming! www.venganza.org/

I mean, it's not like creationists actually have scientists in the field doing actual honest to god(!!) research..... I'm sure they've tried sending some researchers out across the great oceans and seas of the world, and then find they keep losing them to the dreaded lurking Kraken of Realism.

I think the Creationists and Darwinists suffer from mutual provinciality. Creationists insist that God created everything and the world began on April 17, 4004 BC at 9:00 AM. (I'm not sure what time zone.) Darwinists insist (implicitly) that all life began on Earth through evolution.

Step back for a moment. Maybe life was seeded on Earth by intelligent beings. How far back do you want to trace their origin? A million years? A billion years? A trillion years? Far enough back and the argument is irrelevant.

And if intelligent beings create (design, engineer) new life forms, is that Divinity or simply a further evolution? Oddly enough, the Creationists have taken the next step by proposing Intelligent Design. They simply are not invisioning God as a someone in a spacesuit but the typical white haired old man wearing a white robe, sandals and a staff.

Mainstream scientists are not advancing conceptually because "all the Great Concepts are known". Ask Stephen Hawking, if you doubt this.

Greg, I hope you are joking about all the concepts being known. That idea was invented before the wheel. Back in 1900 science had it all figured out too.

Yes, I am joking. Mr. Hawkings has insisted that the entire Universe is now understood, including busts of Abraham Lincoln coming out of black holes.

It seems to me all the physics guys with PHDs in their resumes are stuck with a model of the universe which makes a living for them because grants are available. Don't blame them for keeping the ball bouncing because what would they do without this model? They have to keep coming up with stuff to write papers about. I blame the people who manage funding for all the BS in science.

So I get censored for being "off topic" but the scientific "elite" get to ramble on about how creationists are "unscientific". Enjoy the power of the "delete" key while you have it. It will all come back to remind you on the Day.

Since a comment was made by one of you that stated that creationism is not science, I submit this link: www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/bios/default.asp

I expect this will be deleted also. That’s what happens when people are afraid of opposition to their belief system. Pretend it is not there or just plain dismiss it.
