"Where do we go from here?"
North,
I would imagine that NASA and our government is already well aware of what and who is on Mars
My guess is that there is already some official course of action in play, we the common folk just don't know anything about it yet.
My belief is that news of this moment should be shared with all of humanity. Certainly the taxpayers have a right to know how our government is proceeding as one of the basic tenents of our democracy is no taxation without representation. If we know nothing about what is being done on Mars how can we be sure our best interests are being addressed?
I think everyone needs to be brought up to speed as quickly as possible. Some are sure to suffer nosebleeds from the sudden shock of amazing disclosures but people are just going to have to grow up and realize that we are not alone, we've very possibly got neighbors (or at the very least used to have neighbors) right here in our own planetary neighborhood and it is nothing to be afraid of.
From all the ufos that have been reported and continue to be reported it is obvious that we have an extraterrestrrial presence here on Earth, like it or not. Not that I think all ufos are extraterrestrial, I'm sure some are advanced anti-gravity technology already secretly in the hands of Earthlings. I think it is time for the Brookiings report to be burned, time for a new start based on the reality of the moment, time for us all to get our collective heads out of the sand look up at the sky and in to our future. It is a most exciting new reality that we face and I think we should embrace it.
I am itching to know what is really going on on Mars. The images reveal tantalizing clues of civilization up there. I am so very curious about what Martian society is like and what all these structures that are in the images might be. I say since we're neighbors, let's be friends. And the sooner the better.

And I'd be willing to bet that Martians look so very much like us that they could walk down any city street and barely get a second glance.

Maybe the Martians are playing around with our robots.

Gents,
Have a look at: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3423301.stm
This is the first batch of stunning pictures coming from the Mars Express. It is said that the instrument-laden satellite is in a mere calibration phase up to 28 February (I may be wrong about this). At any rate, we can look forward to some "awesome" pictures. The Volcano Caldera and the Water-formed Channel pictures are very nice indeed.
Enjoy. []
