You know I'm not prepared to say little green men but IF one ASSUMES an aritficial origin, the thought comes "What are they". My first thought would be some form of water store facility, perhaps during a critical period near the end of habitation due to loss of resources.
What is the general location on Mars? Near a pole or more toward the equator?

This last one is nearly exactly on the old Martian equator just like Cydonia is.

That's on the south pole. If you ever want to look up something about an image put the image number into google and the mss link usually comes up on the first page.
