Gregg,
What is the scale of the Mars photo? i.e. - What are the dimensions of the squares?
Raised in N. Indiana farm country. Looks just like that in an ariel view!

Hi Mac,
It is 2.75 meters a pixel so that would make the ridges probaby between 1 and 5 meters wide. A wall like formation can be much darker and extend over only say half a pixel, and this will translate to a lighter pixel, so in these cases objects can be narrower than they appear.

AB,
Is that a guess or where did the information come from?
I have two additional questions.
1 - Is there any telemetry, shadows, etc., that gauge the height of the walls?
2 - Does anybody have a speculation as to a possible natural formation process?
