Time Travel

even if there is no predetermined future tho (which i personally don't think there is because i don't like the thought of not being able to control my actions on a day to day basis) then i think that RELATIVELY speaking, one could travel through time. You see, time isn't an actual dimension or anything, merely a concept upon which we determine at what point things occur. You see, if, like mac said, you were in suspended animation for 3 years, and YOUR biological status remained the same, it would almost be like anestesia where you wouldn't know of anything that occurred between now and then, and you would see everything else as 3 years older. I think this is possible because time really is a relativistic thing, where although the universe didn't change in that aspect one ounce, somehow YOU yourself were changed (to be able to not age in 3 years), and so to the person it WOULD seem as though he time traveled. Although from a 3rd person view, no he didn't travel forward through time in the traditional sense. It is like you sleeping. although time passed like normal, it seems like you wake up as soon as you go to sleep, correct? from that sense, we travel through time (once again not in the traditional sense) every night. Something like that.

Sure, in your mind you can do anything, no strings attached. Making it happen with your eyes open takes more effort, though.

Well, there's no argument from me about the freezer kind of time travel though- the steak I ate last night tasted like it came
from quite some time in the past.

by the way i agree completely with you on time travel, physically its impossible,but have you not heard of some people who seem to know events ahead of there actual occurrence? or even a "gut feeling".sometimes i think there is more to understanding this universe than physics,astrophysics,astronomy etc.although i enjoy them,always have,always will.
