natyd all knowledge is based on needs. We have physical needs as well as spiritual needs. Our pursuit to fulfill these needs have led to all discoveries. Although science and spirituality are often separated and rightly so, they are dependent upon one another none the less. Cosmology and the study of it came from when Man looked into the heavens in awe and wondered why? An essentually spiritual question that has given us a science in pursuit of truth. These spritual questions do need not to be satisfied for our basic need of food or shelter to be achieved, though through these questions we have become much more materialistically secure. These questions that we need to answer to satisfy our spiritual and physical needs is where all knowledge is rooted.
