Many people believe that the possible sources of systematic error are so numerous and unmanageable that the experiment never had any hope of measuring the effect, whether it is predicted correctly or not.

Even assuming that it can measure a real effect that small, alternative gravity models (such as Meta Model, Yilmaz New Theory, etc.) predict somewhat different numerical results expected. However, the experiment is not being handled as a way to distinguish among theories, but as a way to test GR in a new area. We can therefore be sure that the results will be announced as supporting GR, with any discrepancy attributed to some mundame cause with an adjustable parameter. -|Tom|-
