Boeing and anti-gravity

I have worked in big companies like Boing and can assure you that what is going on in there is more politics than advanced research. Usually, big breakthroughs happen by small outfits, remember it was Zilog that put out the microprocessor, not IBM, actually they were against it.

I think the Russian mafia is taking them for a wild ride.... (No offence AgoraBasta)

Yeah, there's another theory that it's all a ploy by Boeing to try to inject some value into their stock, but I'm not sure how the shareholders would react to their company investing in something as exotic as anti-gravity! "Russian mafia"?? (I'm really naive - didn't realise there was such a group, or that they wielded such influence in the science community!).

The science is fascinating though. Podkletnov's device is placed <b><i>under</i></b> the object which it screens from gravity. This would at face value be at odds with the pushing gravity model.

Maybe there's some other effect being produced, electro-magnetic possibly, which is resisting gravity, rather than straight countering it? NASA have also had a stab at replicating Podkletnov's results but without success. Apparently it's something in the structure of the ceramic used, and Podkletnov's got the formula!

I shall follow this one with keen interest....

Not if it does whatever it does by concentrating the graviton flux from below.

It's too bad that reproducible results are so hard to come by. It may be a long time before we know if the effect is real.

Ahh...you mean kind of like a graviton gun? Methinks if this proves to be valid research, ftl communication may well drop out as a bonus.

I wonder how could someone attach such a device to an airplane. It would seem to me that the weight of the device would make up or even exceed the weight gained from "antigravity". Curious if proportionality applies. And in any case, how can you push youself up when sitting on a chai by just pushing on it?
