Good stuff, Mark. Thanks. Please don't stop.
More detail on your ideas, comments and objections to mine and others'.
LB
To all. Think about combining bits and peices. Go to a hobby store and wander around for a while. But don't spend all of your time thinking OUTSIDE the box. There are plenty of good ideas inside as well.

Besides, if you don't know what is inside the box, how can you tell if you really are thinking outside the box?

Very friendly site, also:

Filelodge has some benefits in the way they structure their file system, but after I started using it, they started to do a "one time advertisement" that pops up in place of random images every so often:

I missed typing a colon and went back and editted the post and voila. Tom, what types of martian conditions environments are there on earth for testing the rovers? Have you any ideas of the cost to test and whatnot, otherwise affording and building these rovers is cheap, as long as one simulates sensor weight and tallies an energy budget based on existing science packages. I think any concept must start from earth and build to mars, start with launch weight and think about package deployment to the surface. Any thoughts?
