Is it your contention now that Fred's art is not paredolia? If so, what is it? Martian Art?
Let's do a show and tell for the audience:
You think these are faces:
But you don't think these are (again, I apologize for the gratuitous avdvertising, but there's no other way to do this):

I think Tom hit the nail on the head. If you found something as detailed as "Dylan" on Mars, you'd surely be arguing for artificiality, while I'd be saying, no it's just pareidolia (the long lost Folk Stars from Mars).
After you give the link so I can check the original, I’ll answer the question.

This was not a trick. The image contributor named the image "42S_158W_100.jpg", from which you should be able to locate the original. (It was sent to me by Mike Luckman, who was probably not the original finder.)
Since Trinket has this one also, perhaps he has the original link. I didn't think it was "research quality", and therefore did not attempt to find the original.
I recommend you show your images to some friends or associates to get a better sense of how difficult it is to see some of your images without keys. You've become so good at spotting faces in noisy terrain (the same skill that Fred has, or a different skill??) that I think you've forgotten what these look like to untrained eyes. -|Tom|-

A link to the original or an image identifier would also be appreciated. -|Tom|-

I honestly think Dr. Fred is "doctoring" his--with all due respect. Otherwise he would have been amenable to showing some source material. He has offered none. Only "trust me," and assurances to the deity.
[Also see my correction above, re: number of pixels in cylinder. It should have been 600, not 1200. Rich and I, used to make a good team. He did the math and I did...whatever, now I have to struggle. Bummer.]

Oh, Trinket,
Do me a solid and post the link for "flathead" (if you have it) so I don't have to spend an hour looking for it?

These may have got lost in the shuffle of the "cylinder" debate. That would be a shame since they're two of the best. Some other possible artificial objects from the HIRISE images. TRA000830 1440, Profile girl.
TRA000849 1675, Profile girl.
Both are ~50 meters wide measured by the usual method. Both are fairly detailed and sharply focused etchings, (resolution of .5 m/p), showing the usual human-like profile features, including eye with outline, iris, white, and lash; nose with nostrils; mouth; hair or head piece; forehead; chin; neck; and suggestions of artistic shading, and lines to depict facial expression.
More keys.

Unfortunately even the finder of this face ..
demonstrated an ability to ignore everything else... As if there were a set of "singular" items on the surface.. Which is incorrect
www.msss.com/mars_images/moc/e7_e12_capt...rel/42S_158W_100.jpg
It really is a magnificent image and has taught me much about mars...
Sorry Neil .. (If you come across it first) Plz think of me..
