The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter re-photographed Wil’s tetrahedral feature on March 3, 2007.
The new image confirms the three-sided pyramidal shape of the structure, while the left face of the pyramid appears smoother that the other two triangular faces. Note the dark notched feature at the structures apex.
I believe Wil would be very happy with this image.

I agree that the new image of the Wil Faust mound confirms the earlier image. This re-imaging seems to say that the controlling authorities no longer feel they have to hide anything, though of course I have no way of really knowing that. The new image shows some rough edges that couldn’t be seen before, but it also confirms the symmetry of the first image. At the base of the northern face, someone, I think starjim, noted a debris field. That still seems to hold true.
As for confirmation of artificiality, I’m afraid we are going to need good geologists willing to take the plunge before we can go any further. Here are some more looks at the mound, along with the link to the HiRISE web page.

If you compare the MRO and MGS images, which were taken at different incidence angles, it seems as if the feature at the apex is some type of ornament or masthead, which protrudes straight up from the pyramid’s apex..

Although the following crops do not fall far from the "pareidolia tree" still in light of their context they are interesting. The context is as ornament for the most artificial appearing structure on Mars with the possible exception of the Cydonia Face—of those found or confirmed so far.
Chevron at the apex of the Faust mound.
Profile just NE of the mound.
Carving or sculpture on east ridge of mound.

Mike Bara has just added Wil's Tetrahedral pyramid to the image gallery on the Amazon.com web page for his and Richard Hoagland’s Dark Mission book.
I sent this image to RCH a few years ago for comment and now they have used it to promote their book.
Note the image number and the words "crop2" - that's Wil's original tag.

I wonder if the same picture is in the book too?

That's great except the image is 5 years out of date. MRO has imaged the Wil Faust Mound twice already, as we know, (calling it a tetrahedron is clearly a stretch in light of the evidence, though it is still a compelling anomaly). Why not give readers accurate information? [Neil]

The image that Mike Bara used was previously posted here on this forum by Zip Monster and is the copyrighted property of Wilmer Faust and Anomalyhunters.com. It should be noted that image was cropped and is now in the book on page 306 without permission or accreditation.
They chose to ignore me on this... BTW Wil was not a fan of RCH and would not have given them use of the image. It is also easily gotten on their own but they chose to use somebody else's material.
Jim Miller, You can find anything if you want to!
