Brotherhood of the Snake Insignia?

This insignia on the lower left form combines the idea of a snake with the idea of flight as the snake is formed in such a way that it has "wings".
There are many myths and legends from ancient history about snakes and reptiles.  
Possibly this is a symbol that has connections to the Brotherhood of the Snake, one of the most ancient of the secret societies with roots going back to
Sumer and Babylonia.  And possibly Mars?
